What happens if I breach a loss limit?
Breaching the daily or overall loss limit ends the evaluation immediately, and the program fee is not refunded.
If you breach either loss limit, the evaluation ends immediately and the account is closed. The program fee is not refunded.
There are two limits and they work differently:
Maximum daily loss
This caps how far the account may fall within a single trading day, measured against the balance at the start of that day. It resets each day. Its purpose is to stop a single bad session from destroying an otherwise sound account.
Maximum overall loss
This is a floor relative to the starting balance that the account may never fall below, at any point, on any day. It does not reset. Its purpose is to cap the total risk the firm carries.
Why the fee is not returned
The fee buys access to the evaluation, and the evaluation was provided. This is why we publish both limits prominently, on every program page, in percentage and in currency terms for each account size — so that the numbers can be checked against your own trading before you buy rather than discovered afterwards.
How to avoid a breach
Model your worst historical drawdown against the limit before you choose a program. If your typical bad week would consume more than half the overall allowance, choose a program with a wider buffer or a smaller account. The Two Phase program exists precisely for traders whose returns arrive unevenly.
